Laura brings a wealth of expertise in marketing, branding, and strategy across industries. She earned her MBA with a marketing specialty from UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business and has held leadership roles at iconic companies and innovative startups alike.

Highlights of Laura’s career include devising the launch and activation strategy for a better-for-you brand at Frito Lay, leading all branding and marketing efforts for a Houston-based experiential real estate company, and spearheading the commercial strategy and product development for a fast-growing nutraceutical startup. Most recently, she spent three years at Whole Foods Market, where she spearheaded global marketing campaigns and built transformative promotional strategies.

Jorge is a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader with a proven track record of building and scaling innovative companies across technology, media, and apparel. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Varsity Hype, Jorge led the development of a cutting-edge live-streaming platform for youth sports, resulting in the company’s acquisition by a private investment firm in 2023. His expertise spans product development, business strategy, and operational growth, including overseeing multi-functional teams and implementing successful monetization strategies.

Jorge’s entrepreneurial ventures include founding and scaling multiple startups, such as a collegiate apparel company with over 50 retail locations and a media-focused technology company that captured over 13,000 sporting events annually. His leadership has consistently driven revenue growth, acquisitions, and operational efficiency across diverse industries.

Laura and Jorge have been married for five years (and friends for more than 18) and live in Austin, Texas with their two young daughters, Isla and Vida. They keep things busy - building businesses, raising strong-willed girls, and drinking a LOT of coffee.
